Fred Foldvary teaches economics at San Jose State University, California. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University. Foldvary's scholarly interests include private communities, business cycles, decentralized governance, and natural-law ethics. He is known for accurately predicting the recession of 2008 in 1997. Fred Foldvary writes for “Notes on Liberty” and is an associate editor of the journal Econ Journal Watch. His books include Soul of Liberty, Public Goods and Private Communities, and Dictionary of Free-Market Economics.
